What Types of Injuries Are Covered Under the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act?

The easy answer is that all injuries that happen in the course of a worker's employment -- whether from an accident, from lifting, from a slip and fall, or from some other cause -- are covered by the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act, regardless of the worker's prior physical condition. In addition, the Pennsylvania Occupational Disease Act also provides virtually identical benefits to workers who contract a disease as the result of his or her employment.
